The K2 Hanford snowboard boot took notes from the #1 boot in snowboarding and put its own spin on it.

It all starts with the This Grips!™ outsole - two different densities of rubber are strategically placed to ensure the best possible grip for the parking lot and the boot pack. A full-EVA midsole is backed with the impact-resistant Harshmellow™ material, helping to reduce vibration and mellow out the harshest of landings. Less vibration of the ankle means that your feet feel comfortable and fresh all day long. Inside, othe multi-density Control Foam liner features heat-moldable foam from Intuition®. As an industry leader, Intuition® foam is lightweight, durable, warm, and has an excellent memory - meaning that it molds to the shape of your foot and stays that way. This is wrapped in our 3-point harness - snuggly holding your ankle in place for stability and reducing heel lift for ultimate board control.

The patented Endo™ Construction keeps this snowboard boot extremely lightweight. Replacing a traditional heel counter of the boot with an injected poly material allows to change the flex and rebound of the Hanford without adding extra weight. Endo™ construction helps retain the boot's flex over its lifetime and adds an extra layer of durability.

A dual-zone BOA® Fit System allows users to adjust the upper and lower of the snowboard boot independently of each other, fitting more foot shapes than a standard single-BOA® boot normally would. Lastly, it is top off with a lace cover to keep your laces safe from the edge of your board and whatever else might come into play.

TECHNOLOGY

H4/M3 FOCUS BOA® FIT SYSTEM WITH TX3 LACING:

Impact-resistant, durable, and performance-driven, the H4 BOA® Dial ejects on severe impact and is easily re-inserted into the boot. The H4 dial controls the upper shell lacing, while the M3 dial controls the lower shell lacing.

TX3 is constructed from recycled PET with a structural core. This lace provides a softer, more flexible look similar to the characteristics of a traditional lace but the superior closure of a BOA® system.

 

ARTICULATING UPPER CUFF:

The articulating cuff upper helps reduce shell distortion when flexing forward into the snowboard boot.

 

REINFORCED RUBBER TOE CAP:

Abrasion-resistant reinforced rubber is placed in areas of high stress to extend the boot's life and increase durability.

 

ENDO™ 2.0 HEEL COUNTER:

An injected heel counter offers us the ability to provide a lighter weight snowboard boot with more precise rebound, and a longer life-cycle.

 

INTUITION® CONTROL FOAM 3D LINER:

Built with a blend of high and medium density Intuition® foam, this is our most versatile liner. With internal and external J-Bars and a 3D molded EVA insole, the Control Foam 3D liner is built to provide all-day comfort and support.

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL J-BARS WITH CORED ANKLE POCKETS:

Adding J-Bars to a liner helps add structure and reduce heel lift, while coring liners out around the ankle bones reduces pressure points in sensitive regions.

 

S’CAFE™ COFFEE MESH:

A post-consumer recycled coffee ground mesh liner layer that controls odor and absorbs moisture.

 

3-POINT HARNESS LINER LACING:

The 3-Point Harness is a straightforward solution that doesn’t skimp on support. Instead, this system aims to optimize heel hold while providing ankle support and unrivaled stability to help reduce fatigue. A taller Pro Version is found on Orton and Format models for additional support.

 

HARSHMELLOW™ PLUS FOOTBED:

We’ve completely redesigned every footbed we put into our boots. Three separate compositions, Pro, Plus. and Base, now all incorporate K2’s proprietary Harshmellow™ damping into the layup of the footbed. The result is superior vibration absorbing and comfort for all- day excursions into the backcountry or hiking and riding around the resort.
