Information

RENT SKISHOE EQUIPEMENT FOR A DAY IN A FEW CLICKS.

Size 160CM is the longest of this series, closer to a regular ski, much wider and shorter than a regular ski, with a long piece of climbing skin underneath. Will fits most adults, but women who would prefer a lighter weight version might want to try the XCD GT 160.

A day rental allows you to really test if you are going to like this sport before you decide to invest into a full equipement. If you do fall in love, we'll credit your 1 day rental fees with a purchase done within the following 30 days of your rental.  It only takes a few clicks, then pick up your equipment at our ski shop!

WHAT'S A SKISHOE:

A skishoe is the happy marriage between a ski and a snowshoe! Those skis facilitate moving around in the snow, especially in deed fluffy snow because they are so much wider than regular skis. But because they are still skis, they glide and slide, allowing you to move faster than you would with snowshoe. Thanks to climbing skins under the sole, you'll also be able to easily climb almost anywhere: it's the ultimate tool to explore without limits and regardless of conditions!

One day Skishoe rental includes:

  1. Skishoe OAC SKINBASSED XCD BC 160, wide for a great floattation on powder
  2. Skishoes are equipped with climbing skin imbedded in the ski sole
  3. Universal adult binding for regular winter boots
  4. Telescopic ski pole Leki Civetta, adjustable so you can pick the perfect length going up and easily readjust them to ski downward, folds in seconds to be stored in your backpack.

BINDINGS DESIGNED FOR REGULAR WINTER BOOTS

Chose warm boots with flexible soles allowing your feet to flex at the toes. Rigid soles would prevent the natural flexion movement you need to move ahead or climb hills.

Your boots need to be adjustable to secure them firmly to your feet. Avoid slip on boots or boots with very little or no adjustment capabilty.

The bindings are designed to secure your boots to the skishoe, thus your boots must be firmly set on your feet at the risk of sliding off your feet in mid track.

We recommend light weight boots that are water resistant and fastened well around your ankle to prevent snow infiltration; which will make your experience a lot more enjoyable!
